Just to let you know that I have read your book...
I really enjoyed it. I was hooked from the beginning. Your style of writing is engaging and easy to read, flowing from one subject to another in a way that captures and keeps interest. You give descriptions that really build pictures. And I especially enjoyed your personal observations and thoughts, which made the book very thought-provoking, warm and human.
Of course, I had an added excitement while reading because I know you and Patrick personally – and now I feel I know you a lot better! I already knew you were special and now your book has made my heart expand even more to you both. It was really nice to read our names “Raphael and Elsa” in the last chapter. Thank you for including us. It made me think back to when you last visited us in London. Things have changed a lot since then. I realise now how at the time our lives were literally continents apart. You and Patrick were discovering “l’art de vivre” in Kenya, rich in beauty and animals and new experiences.
